Reflective Glass

Reflective glass, also known as one-way mirror glass or mirrored glass, is a type of glass that has a thin coating of metal, typically silver, applied to one side of the glass surface. This coating gives the glass a mirrored or reflective appearance, allowing it to reflect light and act as a one-way mirror.

GLASS DESCRIPTION

With the increase in demand for improved performance in glass products, new technology has evolved that allows metallic coatings to be applied to glass surfaces. The result is a range of glass products that offers the following benefits:

1) A wide choice of external appearances with varying degrees of reflectance.

2) Superior, all-around performance when compared with body tinted glass.

3) A wide range of combinations to satisfy specific aesthetic and performance requirements.

Where extra solar protection is required, Pyrolytic reflective coated glass offers the perfect solution.

Reflective coated glass is produced using CVD technology  (chemical vapor deposition) that creates a perfectly uniform layer of metal oxide chemically bonded to the surface of the glass. This hard chemical layer fully bonds to the glass, permitting the glass to be cut, bent, drilled, tempered, heat strengthened or laminated without affecting the coating.

Reflective float glass is available in a range of specifications to meet most environmental requirements in terms of solar control, thermal comfort and energy conservation.

BENEFITS

High energy saving

Filters glittering sunlight

Adds aesthetics to a building's appearance

Mirror effect

NOTICE

When single glazed, the coating face should be towards the inside.

On-line LVC reflective glass can be bent or tempered after manufacture.
